Awarded the #1 city in the U.S. in 2025 Travel + Leisure ‘World’s Best’ Awards. <\/em><\/strong>Founded in 1610, it is the oldest capital city in the U.S. Santa Fe, or as some folks call it, Fanta Se<\/em>, is a worldwide popular tourist destination due to its picturesque location at the foot of the Sangre de Christo mountains and its rich cultural heritage, which includes art, architecture, food, music and dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Fe’s connection to Route 66 is often overlooked, as the route passed through the city from 1926 to 1936. During this period, the route was more a utilitarian road rather than a tourism byway. Santa Fe is not known as a primary Route 66 experience but the Santa Fe experience is not to be missed! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
