Gallup Route 66 NEON

Gallup at one time offered a stunning panorama of neon as viewed looking east from the El Rancho parking lot as shown in the image above. Although the Lariat, Blue Spruce and the Arrowhead still stand, they are all dark, motels closed due to aggressive code violation enforcement. The Uptown Plaza sign was replaced with a plastic fluorescent sign. However, neon still lights can be found as you cruise old 66.
